How the School is Governed:
Amana Christian School is governed by a Board of Trustees which is comprised of:

  • 4 Elected parents (members of the Taieri Christian Schools’ Association Incorporated {TCSAI}), one of which is a Council member of the TCSAI plus
  • A representative of the Taieri Education Charitable Trust
  • Principal
  • Staff Representative
  • The principal who is appointed by the Association manages the school on behalf of the School Board of Trustees.
  • School Board meetings are held the first Monday of each month and are open to the community.
  • The school commences each day with Bible reading, Prayer and Devotion and completes the day with class prayer.

Resources originally supplied from Windermere Christian School in Christchurch have been added to with material from other schools that have closed, enabling the administration to offer some on loan to advance Christian Education.

The grounds and play equipment provide for lunch time activities.
